Singapore (30 September, 2003) – Guest of Honour, His Excellency Dr Lee Boon Yang, Minister for Information, Communication and the Arts launched iX 2003 on 30th September at Singapore Expo, with a ministerial address that offers strong support for Singapore’s infocomm technologies industry and words of encouragement for the future.
Dr Lee Boon Yang, Minister for Information, Communications and the Arts, said: "Better news lies ahead. The companies surveyed also predicted that revenue growth would continue to be positive at about 4.5% in 2003 and 7.5% in 2004. Based on the companies' projections for manpower needs over the next two years, the forecasted demand for infocomm jobs remains positive."
Back for the second year, the Singapore infocomm Technology Federation (SiTF) has put together four days of non-stop action, activities and highlights at the iX 2003 Conference and Exhibition from 30th Sep to 3rd Oct 2003, Singapore Expo.
